Single Career Women Self-Care Tips

All you single ladies who are working hard and paying your own bills, this one is for you. Being an independent woman can have many benefits, like more freedom to do what you want when you want, but it also comes with the reality that everything is up to you to survive. So many of us have side hustles, and it’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day task in life to take a few extra moments to breathe and take care of ourselves. In this article, “Single Career Women Self-Care Tips,” I’ll provide you with easy self-care tips that you can implement into your daily routine, and you can take these tips on the go.

Start The Day With Gratitude

As a career girl, you have places and people to see, and time is valuable. That’s why having a moment of gratitude at the beginning of your day will keep you focused on the good things and people in your life. This can be particularly helpful when you are stressed out and overwhelmed with life. This doesn’t have to be a lengthy moment in your day. It can be as easy as saying “thank you” to God when you wake up, writing five things that you’re grateful for in your journal, and meditating or visualizing your goals before you get out of bed.

If you’re going through a rough patch in your life, you must focus on gratitude, even if you don’t feel like it. Having an attitude of gratitude can have a positive impact on every area of your life.

Stretching At Your Desk

One of the best things that you can do for yourself is to stretch throughout the day. It’s good for your aching body and helps to alleviate stress on your joints and digestion, and increases flexibility. You can do simple stretches at your desk like Massy Arias chair exercises. It’s easy to do and will only take a few minutes. This can be a great buffer for breaks and forcing yourself to get up from your chair every few hours.

Meal Prep For A Healthy Lifestyle

For some of us working girls, the last thing that we want to do at the end of the day is to cook, and it’s easy to get into the bad habit of ordering takeout or dining at a restaurant a few days a week, but no matter what age you are it’s important to make your health and nutrition a top priority in your life.

Meal Prepping on the weekend is your best bet to stay healthy and well-fed during the week. This also sets you up for success. When you’re on the move, you can grab a container of fresh vegetables and hummus or have dinner such as chicken and vegetables ready to heat up in the microwave. Cooking at home also saves you a ton of money, so you can focus on increasing your wealth and taking an occasional adventure.

Active Lifestyle

Maintaining an active lifestyle is an important step to keeping your health in mind, body, heart, and soul. Being active doesn’t mean becoming a marathon runner, but having a consistent workout routine, whether it’s strength training, rock climbing, soul cycling, kickboxing, dance, or pilates. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you move and stretch your body.

Make Time For Fun

Make any excuse to have fun, period. Life is short, and it’s important to live life to the fullest every day and to spread kindness and positivity everywhere you go. Surround yourself with things that bring you joy and make you laugh. For example, I recently have been on a kick-watching comedy show by Chris Tucker. I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time.

Scheduling fun adventures that push you to the limit. It doesn’t have to be a big deal like a fancy trip. It might be singing a song during karaoke or trying new cuisine. Always make time to have fun, laugh, and make memories.

Schedule Me Time

A recurring theme on my blog is to set aside special time for yourself. This time must become a sacred ritual for you. So if you’re too busy, why not make your lunch break me-time instead of sitting at your desk or eating in the breakroom?

Take your lunch outside and eat alone or take yourself out to lunch. If you love getting your nails done every two or three weeks, then this could be your me-time or meditation session. The first thing in the morning might be your jam. The point is to create space for yourself, even if it’s just a few minutes a day.

Do What Makes You Happy

One valuable lesson that I was reminded of today is to live your best life and do what you love and share that passion with the world. Do you know what makes you happy? There was a point in my life a few years ago when I was asked what makes me happy and I couldn’t come up with many examples other than my nieces and nephew.

If you’re not sure what makes you happy, then grab a sheet of paper and think of ways that you can bring more happiness to your life. Is there something you always wanted or dreamed of doing? Is there a skill that you want to develop? Or take up a new hobby? The key is to discover what lights you up inside and brings you joy. Your job is to try new things and be open to the experience. So take a leap of faith and find your happy place.

For my people – career single women, take a moment from the hustle and grind and give yourself the love that you deserve. Treat yourself to moments of calm and treat yourself like gold. You have to treat yourself well because you deserve it. I hope this article will remind you to take a few extra moments to treat yourself like the queen you are.
