7 Things I’m Obsessed With Right Now
Have you ever had a product or activity that you enjoy so much that you want to share it with the world? In this article “7 Things I’m Obsessed With Right Now” I’ll share my latest bargain finds, household products, stores, and life events that I’m crazy about!
The last two weeks have been a breakthrough moment in my life. I’m starting a new career at a wonderful organization and excited to start this new chapter in my life. This has inspired me to refresh all areas of my life and update areas of personal items that I’ve been holding back on purchasing for years. I’m taking all of these and investing time and money into myself. Here is a list of products, moments, and stores that I’m currently obsessed with.
I’m Obsessed With New Beginnings
Let’s start with my ultimate obsession which is new beginnings. I hoped and prayed for a fresh start in several areas of my life, mostly in my career. I’ve had a picture of my new job on my vision board for a couple of years now, and once I started focusing on my blog, the unique career opportunity came to me. My mantra was, “This won’t last forever!”
What I didn’t expect were the emotions that I had my last week at work. I worked at my previous job for over twelve years, and though I had many ups and downs, I made a lot of friends. What I love most about new beginnings are that energy shift and momentum. It’s like night and day after feeling stuck for so many years. New beginnings mean new possibilities, more opportunities, and fresh energy moving into my life.
I’m Obsessed With Gratitude
Another obsession that I have is gratitude. In the last two weeks, I’ve had nothing but gratitude for the blessings that I have. Focusing on gratitude for a few minutes every day in prayer, meditation, or in your gratitude will change your life and perspective. I will be the first person to tell you that I wasn’t entirely sure about this whole gratitude journal, and I’ve struggled with consistently writing in my gratitude journal until February.
Writing in my gratitude journal helped me focus on the positive things in my life that I currently have and not in what I don’t have. Writing in my gratitude journal during Coronavirus stay at home orders was my saving grace. There was so much to complain about, but I focused on the positive. I was healthy; I had a job, unemployment check that provided everything I needed, and my family was healthy.
Gratitude stood out to me from everyone who has given me well wishes, said a kind word, or took time out of their day to celebrate this new opportunity. It was overwhelming, but I received their love and so grateful for the memories, friendships, and love that I received and continue to receive.
I’m Obsessed With The Container Store
I’ve always wanted to be one of those super-organized people with a color-coordinated pantry with everything labeled or a closet that looks like a department store. My first step was getting rid of all the clutter in my place. Second, I made a trip to The Container Store. I have to admit I dropped some money at the store! I went nuts and spent over $300 on labels, shoe boxes, and shelf dividers. In the end, it was worth it! My bathroom is organized and clean. My next major project will be my kitchen cupboards and refrigerator!
The Loft Outlet
The Loft Outlet has had some fantastic sales going on recently. I went to buy some new jeans and an outfit for my job interview, and I ended up buying three pairs of jeans, and a couple of tops for about 100 dollars. Then I went shopping last week and spent some big money on new work clothes.
Everything is either on clearance or marked down. Dresses that usually cost $69 are on sale for $19.99, jeans $24, and the deals get even better if you hit the clearance rack. I won’t be going back any time soon since I stocked up on so many clothes, but if you look for great deals, check out The Loft Outlet.
Kohl’s
If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been doing a lot of shopping recently. Kohl’s has been my new addiction! I found the best sports Maidenform bra that ever had! It zips in the front, and the cups are so soft and hold your girls up like a soft cloud. I also bought three blazer jackets from Apt 9, blouses, and Nike workout clothes. I spent a ton there and didn’t need to shop again until my dress size goes down.
Naturalizer Shoes
Buying shoes can be a pain sometimes, especially if your short and have a wide foot. It seems like all the attractive shoes kill your feet, and I won’t have that. My favorite heels to wear are Naturalizer, and I won’t wear any other heel except for Aerosole or Clark’s. I refuse to wear heels that aren’t comfortable and easy to walk in. Naturalizers shoes are designed to support your foot and provide you with a stylish looking shoe that you can wear all day. I bought two pairs at Famous Footwear. They’re having a buy one get one ½ off sale, so I bought a pair of pumps and wedge sandals for the church.
Hoover Power Scrub Vacuum
My last obsession is my new Hoover Power Scrubber Deluxe Vacuum that I bought at Target. My carpets looked like a hot mess, and they haven’t been cleaned in several years. I spent a couple of our thoroughly cleaning my carpet and love using this product because it’s easy to set up and use. My floors look so much better! I have some areas that I’ll need to spot treat, but the floors look a million times better than they did before. Now I can clean my carpets and not have to rent a Rug Doctor from the grocery store.
