Things You Need In Your Purse This Summer To Look Your Best
Ladies, it’s summertime, and with the heat and humidity, keeping yourself looking and feeling fresh is challenging. There’s so much going on during the summer, beach parties, hikes, weddings, and the local county fair, and you have to be ready at a moment’s notice. In this article, “Things You Need In Your Purse This Summer To Look Your Best,” I’ll let you in on some of my go-to, top-secret products that keep me in tip-top form all summer long.
Dove Deodorant Wipes
I’ve had a hard time finding this next must-have product in your purse this summer. I’d recommend stocking up on Dove Deodorant Wipes to freshen up after a long hike, workout, or if you’re on the go.
Just a heads up that these wipes aren’t a substitute for an antiperspirant, so you’ll need to reapply deodorant after you freshen up. Also, these wipes are only meant to be used on your neck, chest, and underarms, not your intimate lady parts. If you’re looking for feminine wipes for on the go, I would suggest Summer Eves Feminine Wipes.
Murad Blotting Perfector
This is one of my ride-or-die products to cut down on oily skin. Some people love to put highlighter on their cheekbones and forehead, but others like me are naturally oily skin and need some help to tone down the shine.
When this product was first developed, I was lucky enough to be one of the test groups trying the product. So I can truthfully say that Murad Blotting Perfector works wonders on oily skin. In addition, you can use the blotter with makeup on or without.
Neutrogena Beach Defense Sunscreen SPF 70
Before you hit the beach make sure to lather up on plenty of sunscreens and reapply throughout the day. My favorite sunscreen to use on my body is Neutrogena Beach Defense Sunscreen. With SPF 70 you should have a good amount of protection and will leave your skin soft. There are so many sunscreens that leave my skin feeling greasy, dry, or smell horrible. I give my stamp of approval for this sunscreen.
Murad Vitamin C Facial Sunscreen
You might notice Murad on my favorites lists because I love their products! My favorite facial sunscreen is Murad’s Vitamin C Facial Sunscreen. It’s light enough to go on smoothly on my face, neck, and chest and under my makeup and strong enough to protect my skin from skin damage from the sun.
L’Oreal Waterproof Mascara
Be ready for the ocean waves and summer heat with waterproof mascara. My everyday mascara is L’Oreal Voluminous Waterproof Mascara. This mascara will give you extra length and plump up the tiniest lashes and you won’t have to worry about your mascara running down your face if you swim or get into a spontaneous water balloon fight.
Blistex
One of the absolute things you need in your purse this summer is Blistex. Every man, woman, and child should have Blistex in their pockets and bags to soothe their lips from being chapped or sunburned. I never leave home without chapstick and have them in multiple places. So your lips will stay smooth and protected from the sun, wind, and dry climate.
MAC Nude Lip Gloss
Summertime makeup trends tend to be a soft natural look. So keep your makeup simple and hassle-free, and grab a nude lip gloss by MAC.
I like to apply my lipgloss with the applicator and then smooth it out with a lip brush.
Nars Blush-Orgasm
This is one of the most popular blush palettes around and looks good on just about everyone. Now you can also get the orgasm cheek and lip bundle and look like you blushing from within.
Urban Decay Half Baked Eye Shadow Palette
In keeping with our natural summer makeup and perfect eyeshadow shades are neutral colors and a beautiful eye shadow palette with golds, bronze, and brown shades to bring out the colors in your eyes, and the metallic shades like Half-baked will sparkle in the sunshine.
Tinted Moisturizer
Give your skin a break from the heavy foundation and use a tinted moisturizer. It’s lighter on your skin and will give you a healthy glow if you want to use a little powder to complete your look.
MAC Prep and Prime
Here is another one of the go-to daily protectors I use to set my makeup all year long but is especially important during the hottest months of the year.
MAC Prep and Prime spray help to set your makeup and keep it from melting off if you sweat. You can grab the retailer-size bottle or a travel-size setting spray to keep in your purse.
Aussie Miracle Curls Hairspray
If you’re looking for an easy but sunkissed way to do your hair this summer, I recommend Aussie Miracle Curls Hairspray.
You only need a spray bottle with water to wet your hair and then spray Aussie Miracle Curls Hairspray on your hair. If you want to scrunch your hair, you can, but honestly, you don’t need it. You will have nice wavy hair, and best of all, the hairspray smells delicious. I wore my hair like this for over a year because I could do my hair on the go.
Sunglasses
Don’t forget to grab a pair of sunnies to protect your eyes. There are some great sales on sunglasses, especially before the 4th of July. Pick sunglasses that look good on you and have fun with different shaped frames and colors.
Flip Flops
Yes, I’m including a pair of flip-flops on the list of things you need in your purse this summer. You never know where you might go during the summer, and it’s always better to be prepared for a fun trip to the beach or a spontaneous trip to a music festival.
