8 Fabulous Fall Fashion Trends
A change in the season means a change in fashion, beauty, and self-care, and we got the guide to the hottest beauty trends this season for nail colors, shoes, and fall outfits. Fall provides different activities such as harvest festivals, football games, and Thanksgiving dinners, and there are so many choices! This article will provide you with the latest fall fashion trends on the runway and some of my favorite classic looks and colors that never go out of style.
Leather
Leather is all the rage this fall season, and this doesn’t just mean your typical leather jackets but leather pants, vest, dresses, and skirts. Real leather may be expensive for some, so faux leather is a great option.
Match this outfit with a tank, sweater, or button-down shirt, and you are ready to go. Leather is a great option for evening concerts with a tank or band t-shirt or wearing a black leather dress for a night out on the town.
Maxi Everything- Dresses, Skirts, Knits
If you love to wear maxi dresses in the summer, then you’ll love wearing maxi dresses, skirts, and knit sweaters during the fall. Not only are maxi dresses and skirts comfortable to wear, but they can also pair well with tanks, sweaters, and blouses. Knit sweaters are also in this season and can be worn with jeans and boots to run errands or with a pair of black trousers and a collared shirt for the office.
Maxi is all around must clothing this fall and can easily transition from day to night by pairing a maxi dress with a leather jacket and a pair of hooped earrings to elevate your out from work to cocktail with friends.
Oversized Button-Up Tops
A crisp white button-up top never goes out of style. It can be worn all year long. With fall, you can match an oversized button-up top with leggings and booties.
Have fun and play with different accessories to liven up your style with a black or brown oversized belt to highlight the waistline or layer over a maxi skirt. The key to fall fashion is flexibility, comfort, and color, so don’t be afraid to try different pairs with button-up tops.
White Tanks
Tank tops are one of my favorite items to buy, and I wear one almost every day all year long. They provide coverage under tops that have a neckline or a cardigan sweater. White tanks are on trend this season and can easily be worn with jeans for a casual night on the town and a maxi sweater for a cozy evening.
White tanks should be a staple in every women’s wardrobe because they can be layered under a blazer or jacket for work. Most of all, tanks are just so darn comfortable to wear!
Blazers
Another classic that makes it back on the list for fall fashion is a blazer. Blazers never go out of style and come in all types of textures, patterns, and colors. They aren’t only for the office but can be paired with a tank top, skinny jeans, and platform heels if you’re heading to an event at your child’s school. You can also dress them up for casual Fridays at work.
Tall Boots
Boots are always in during the fall season. Even if you live in a part of the country like California where the temperature doesn’t dip below 60’s degrees in the fall, having a pair of boots or ankle boots can take a pair of jeans or a sweater dress to another level. Having a few choices and colors of boots or ankle boots are flattering on all women no matter what size she is. In addition, boots are perfect to wear on a cold rainy day to stay warm and toasty. Here are a few of my favorite outfit combinations that I match with boots.
- Sweater dress and knee-length boots
- Ankle boots/booties/Thigh high boots are perfect with jeans our knee-length dresses.
- Shorts, a tank top with a flannel shirt is perfect for a fall festival
Keep your eyes on fall sales for boots at Nordstrom, Ross, Kohl’s, and Macy’s. Amazon is another great resource for affordable stylish boots.
Trench Coats & Cozy Jackets
The crisp cold air of autumn is the perfect time to rock a trench coat or cozy fleece jacket out on the town. Standard colors for trench coats are black or tan; however, there are plenty of jackets in plaid and fall colors like olive, burnt orange, and maroon. Add a scarf to add flair, and a jacket is also a great accessory to any outfit, day or night. Be bold and try different styles and textures that our out of your comfort zone.
Fall Nail Polish Color
Don’t neglect your nails this fall. Have fun with these hot colors. This year’s colors are earthy tones of burgundy, royal blues, licorice green, deep orange, plum, and chocolate browns. When you at the store or nail salon, think of fall leaves colors, and you can’t go wrong. Nails should be simple and shouldn’t outshine or be a distraction to your appearance. Keep your nails at a simple length and polished look. For more fall nail polish color trends, check out Bustles 7 Fall 2022 Nail Polish trends.
Favorite Fall Colors
Fall is one of my favorite times of year to rock my signature color, orange, and plenty of other beautiful colors like mustard yellow, olive, and plum that are covering clothing racks all over the globe. But, of course, you don’t have only to wear these colors in the fall. These colors were popular back in the late 60s and 70s, so if you’re into vintage clothes, you will definitely find some signature pieces that will look amazing.
A few tips regarding fashion:
- You don’t have to overspend to look expensive. Shop in outlet stores, online, and sales racks at Ross and Nordstrom Rack to find amazing deals.
- Having the proper fit for clothing is key. Make sure to try on your clothes before purchasing. If you can’t move around freely, don’t buy it.
- Invest in a good pair or two of shapewear. It can be a lifesaver and give you more confidence.
- If you’re on a budget, check out thrift stores. You will be amazed to find designer brand outfits readily available for 75% off retail price.
